Community Guidelines
Last updated: 11 July 2026
CLRTY exists so men can build real friendships, move together, and talk honestly. These guidelines exist so it stays that way. They apply to everything you do on CLRTY, profiles, posts, messages, meetups, and events.
Our five commitments
- Be real. Use your real name and a clear photo of your face. No anonymous accounts, no fake identities.
- Be kind. Assume good intent. Disagree without attacking. Everyone here is showing up, often for the first time.
- Be safe. Meet in public places. Look out for each other. If something feels off, it probably is.
- Be honest. Don't claim professional roles you don't hold. Verification exists for a reason.
- Be present. If you RSVP, show up. If you can't make it, let people know.
What isn't tolerated
The following will result in content removal, warnings, or an immediate permanent ban depending on severity:
- Harassment or threats, abuse, intimidation, stalking, unwanted sexual advances, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Hate speech, content targeting people based on race, religion, sexuality, gender identity, disability, nationality, or profession.
- Discrimination, CLRTY is for all men, including trans men. Discrimination on any protected characteristic is grounds for a ban.
- Sharing others' personal information, addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, or private photos without consent (“doxxing”).
- Sexual content, CLRTY is not a dating platform. No sexual solicitation, no explicit content, no nudity.
- Violence or self-harm content, glorifying violence, promoting self-harm, or content that could put a member at risk. See the crisis note below.
- Impersonation, pretending to be another member, a public figure, or a member of a profession you don't belong to.
- False verification claims, falsely claiming NHS, Blue Light, sport, military, or other verified status is treated as fraud and results in a permanent ban.
- Commercial spam, selling products or services, MLM recruitment, promoting other apps, or bulk messaging.
- Illegal activity, drugs, weapons, fraud, or any activity that breaks UK law.
- Minors, CLRTY is 18+. Any content involving minors in an unsafe context will be reported to the authorities.
Meetups & in-person safety
- Meet in public, well-lit places. Tell someone where you're going.
- Hosts are responsible for the tone of their meetup, not the safety of every attendee, you're responsible for yourself.
- No alcohol-focused first meetups. Coffee, walks, runs, gym sessions, not the pub as an opener.
- If a meetup turns unsafe, leave and report it. Your safety comes before politeness.
- Consent matters. No unwanted physical contact, no photography of people who haven't agreed.
Verified professional communities
Members verified as NHS, Blue Light, sport, military, or corporate professionals hold extra responsibility. Anything you share inside a verified community must:
- Respect patient, colleague, and operational confidentiality.
- Not identify specific patients, cases, incidents, or vulnerable people.
- Comply with your employer's social media and confidentiality policies.
Breach of confidentiality is one of the fastest ways to lose your verified status and your account.
Reporting
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it. Every profile, post, message and meetup has a report option. Reports are confidential, the person you report is never told it was you.
You can also email safety@hqclrty.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge every report within 24 hours and act on serious reports the same day.
How we enforce
Depending on what happened, we may:
- Remove the content or meetup.
- Issue a private warning.
- Temporarily suspend the account.
- Permanently ban the account and prevent re-registration.
- Report to the police or safeguarding authorities where a person is at risk or a crime may have occurred.
Serious breaches, threats, hate speech, harassment, fraudulent verification, anything involving minors, skip warnings and result in an immediate permanent ban.

Appeals
If your account is suspended or banned and you believe it was a mistake, email appeals@hqclrty.co.uk within 30 days. Give us your account email and what happened. We'll respond within 10 working days.
Changes
We may update these guidelines as the community grows. Material changes will be posted in the app. Continued use of CLRTY means you accept the current version.
